About Me

Cellist Thea Dardanis is an avid performer currently studying at the University of Colorado with Professor David Requiro. She is a recent graduate of Indiana University, where she received the Jacobs School of Music Faculty Award and studied with Peter Stumpf. Her work this summer included a fellowship to attend the National Orchestral Institute, supported by the Allied Arts of Colorado Young Artists Grant. As an orchestral musician, Thea has appeared at venues across the nation, including performances at Carnegie Hall in New York City, the National Cathedral in Washington D.C, as well as the Prague Rudolphinum.

In addition to performing, Thea is passionate about arts education and partners frequently with community centers to create collaborative musical experiences for their members. Her recent film in collaboration with members from Boulder Ballet Thea also enjoys ballet, French, and baking.
